suddenly had this idea to come up with a new blog. Still in process, will update soon.

Why is it that today is declared as a school holiday, a day off for the school kids, and not a public holiday? What has the kids got to do with polling day on Saturday? They are below the age of 21 and were not involved in the voting process! So what if their schools were being used as polling stations or counting centres. The kids were already given a half day on Friday! Ok fine, 1 point for the school teachers and staffs. And another 0.5point to them so that their parents do not need to wake up early to send their kids to school.

However, we adults were the one who had to read up and research on the contesting candidates, watch the rallies or the biased news and make a decision on who we want to cross on. It's an important decision to make as it could change things, like how we, the people of Aljunied GRC helped to make history with the Workers Party winning a GRC, a 1st for the opposition. That's 1 point for us. And we had to stay up till late to watch the results. That's another point for us. So that's 2 points for us, adults, and 1.5 points for the school kids.

So where's our public holiday??? =(

5 more days to the GE! I'm excited! Will be casting my virgin vote! And finally my area gets to vote. We have been walked over for the last 2 elections. Finally the time for us to speak up! :)

Read up online on the candidates contesting in my area. Yup, my area is the most talked about constituency, Aljunied GRC. Forgot that the media is government owed, hence there isn't a fair, objective and neutral reporting of both the PAP and the opposition parties. Went down to my 1st ever rally attended at Bedok Stadium, but it was for East Coast GRC. Missed the rallies for my area, but luckily I found online videos of the various rallies. Thank you, TodayOnline, for updating on every rally, be it the PAP or the other opposition parties. :)

Therefore, I have decided on which party to cast my vote to. Now, I just can't wait for 7th of May to arrive!


On a sidenote, I just realised that the street behind my block is under East Coast, while 1 street away is under Marine Parade GRC. Hmm, I wonder if my area would get kicked out of Aljunied for the next GE? As the PAP love to redraw the constituencies lines to their favour. We shall see.

The first day of the brand new year.

Glad to be able to spend the last day of 2010 and the first day of 2011 with people I love. :)

The new year, new resolutions.

Instead of having a long list, I rather have one.

My resolution for year 2011: To stop procrastinating! =)

Time flies! So fast it's the end of 2010 and tomorrow it would be a brand new year of 2011!

Trying to recap what I've done in 2010, but my memory isn't very good to start of with.. So here goes my 2010..

1. Finally flew to the land of my dreams, Taiwan
2. Went on 3 trips this year, all fully paid by myself.. =) and I really had LOTS of FUN during the trips!
3. Got 3 new additions for my lomo cams.. A big thank u to those who bought them for me! =)
4. Got my bicycle this year, but it's now collecting dust.. Wanted to cycle to work, but my laziness just got the better of me.. =P
5. Took part in 2 runs.. and both were my 1st.. my 1st run in the night (adidas sundown), and my 1st 21km run (stand chart)
6. Took and completed my lifesaving course.. Now in the midst of the bronze medallion course.. if i ever passed that, i'll be a qualified lifeguard!!! That's if i ever pass.. muahaha
7. Attended 2 concerts this year.. of course it'll include my 豬's concert! =D
8. Looking after 2 irritating, troublesome yet cute and adorable cats..
9. Received my 1st bonus ever since i started work.. it's really a joy to receive extra $$$ =)
10. Thankful for a close group of friends at work.. who's there to share our joy, happiness, sorrow, anger and frustrations.. to the "孩子" family.. i LOVE every single one of u!!! =D
11. Lastly, i'm thankful for my mum, who's still here, looking after my daily needs. To my dad, i ... miss you..

I just signed up for the standard chartered 21km run!!! OMG!!! I still can't believe that I'm going to run a HALF MARATHON this december!!!! O.O!!!

Just ran the adidas sundown 10km last saturday and I'm still aching and walking funnily, and hating going down the stairs..

Oh man oh man oh man!!! I must be crazy!

I need to start LOVING to run long distance!
